Social Impact Bonds

Tue, 02/22/2011 - 3:30pm -- Community Manager

I was at the 'Under the Bonnett' forum today and the concept of Social Bonds was raised by Rosemary Addis, Social Innovation Strategist from DEEWR.

I have heard a lot on social return on investment but this was a new one to me. Looked it up on wikipedia and the entry is very interesting http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_impact_bond

What do you guys think? This is a UK model, do you think it can work in Australia?

Tue, 01/11/2011 - 5:59pm -- Community Manager

Matt Lambelle, General Manager of Strategy & Alliance at WISE Employment, will walk participants
through the process WISE went through in setting up their social firm: Incito Maintenance.

WISE has established numerous successful social enterprises over the years.
